The Thatch Restaurant is a grade 1 listed building that was built in 1621. Extended many times over the years The Thatch provides intimate nooks and crannies for couples as well as contemporary dining spaces.

The latest edition to The Thatch is the wine bar. The atmospheric lighting sets the tone to celebrate flavourful robust food, artisan cheese and great wines from the major growing regions of the world.

The Menu

We are pleased to announce that the restaurant is open again for dine-in! Our full time chefs, Neil and Dharmesh are back, with their dedicated team, creating new flavour combinations, from fresh, locally sourced ingredients from the Vale of Belvoir, to create new and exciting dishes.

As well as blending inspired flavour combinations, Chef Neil is locally revered for creating hearty traditional classic dishes to exacting standards.

If you are staying at home, we still have our takeaway service for those of you near Bottesford that fancy a takeaway a bit different. Our winter menu and tapas menu’s are both available Wednesday-Saturday for takeaway, and Sunday Lunch on Sundays.

Our kitchen is now open for lunch between 12:00 and 14:00 Wednesday to Saturday and 12:00 to 15:00 Sundays. Evenings the kitchen is open 6pm until 9pm Wednesday to Saturday. Our tables have been well spaced to adhere to social distancing rules so we recommend booking as soon as you can. Pop down for a drink in our beautiful open garden from 6pm too!

A traditional Sunday lunch consisting of locally sourced seasonal vegetables and varied selection of premium roasts and a vegetarian option, is served from 12:00 to 15:00 every Sunday, advanced booking is advisable on 01949 842330.

Winter menu

Our brand new winter menu is available from 31st October, Wednesday to Saturday for customers dining in, as well as for takeaway.

Please note scallops, steak and kidney on toast & steaks are not available for takeaway.

Tapas Menu

For those of you who fancy a taste of Spain a bit closer to home, our mix & match tapas dishes are the perfect choice. Why not complete the evening with one of our refreshing jugs of homemade Sangria! Available dine-in or takeaway Wednesday to Saturday lunch and evenings. Dishes are £4.95 each or 3 for £12!

Our wine bar is available for walk-in guests, however, we strongly recommend you book in advance if at all possible to avoid disappointment.

Whatever your event or celebration, we are here to make your special day a truly memorable one. The Thatch is able to accommodate small groups for intimate dining, as well as large corporate events due to the unique and charming layout of the 16th building.
